Trick - or -Treat

Brendan went Trick-or-Treating monday evening with mommy & daddy. He got so much candy that he said his bag was tooo heavy. Poor thing. So daddy started taking handfulls out and putting it into his coat pockets.
One of the greatest things about Halloween is when people decorate. And there is this one house that just goes all out. It is called the "Berkley Boneyard" and Brendan just loves going an visiting it weeks before halloween. And on halloween they have pictures taken with the vampire (who own's the house). And as for our pumpkin this year, we bought them early (on our way home from Westbranch). But didn't have time over the weekend before halloween to carve them. So mommy started cleaning and carving at about 3 in the afternoon on halloween, thinking that Brendan would wake up from his nap any minute now. He didn't, he miss the whole thing. Oh well maybe we will have more time next year. Oh yeah and extra help too.

Halloween Party at Jason's

On Saturday, our friend Jason had a halloween party at his house. He lives in Holly, and has just over 16 acres. They always go way out, with way too much food. He also does a haywagon ride for the kids, and a really cool haunted trail through the woods. Here are some photos.

Brendan as tigger. His make-up did not make it to Jason's house.

Brendan was the talk of the party when he just decided he had to go pee, and went in the middle of the yard in front of everybody! I was too slow on the camera with this one : )

Halloween Party at School

On Friday night (10/28) Brendan's school had a Halloween open house. They had games to play for candy, a guy making balloon animals, hot dogs, popcorn and cotton candy. We did not know if it was a "dress up" event, so we went with the safe option of dressing Brendan in his pumpkin shirt. Of course, everyone was dressed up, but Brendan has a dress up party today (Saturday) and of course, trick-or-treating on Monday. We figured that was enough dressing up. Here are some pics:

Brendan is picking out what type of balloon animal he wants.

Brendan gets a cool spiderman balloon man.

Brendan is just a crazy man on the moonwalk!

Brendan gets to meet a Tiger.

Brendan playing the football game. He didn't make it in the hole, but he has a pretty good arm. I guess all that pitching baseball to dad in the back yard is paying off.

Finally, Brendan gets a "bat" painted on his face.

Brendan & E-mail

Brendan's new favorite past time is to check his e-mail. And just the way he sayes it is cute, me checka my eee-mail. If you can picture that. We are going to have to get a dummy computer soon, ours is too smart to run all those children's computer games, I don't know why they just won't work on ours. But feel free to e-mail Brendan at crazybunky@comcast.net, and he will write you back. You probably won't understand what he types, but he will write back.

Also Brendan is convenced that he "needs" an up/down bed (bunk bed) so this spring (after the snow melts & brian can play with all of his power tools outside) Brian is going to give in and build him a loft bed so Brendan will have his own space underneath since he will be getting a room mate in March. Only 20 more weeks to go. And 8 more weeks till Christmas. Happy shopping.

IT'S A BABY!

We had our 19 week ultra sound this morning and we have a baby! The baby weights about 11 ounces right now and was a mover and a shaker on the monitor. But here is a photo of the baby.
Brendan is so excited to be having a baby brother or sister. We will have to see how long the excitment will last after baby is here.
Have a great day.

Ghost Train

We also took Brendan to Crossroads Villiage and to ride the Ghost Train on Sunday. Brendan had a great time trick-or-treating at all the stops on the map, and even getting a mini bag of microwave-able popcorn and donuts & cider at the end. Here is Brendan posing in a one-eyed pumkin. We saw a halloween play, rode the ghost train and even went in a hay bail maze. What a fun weekend we had. Brendan had a great time riding the train.

Family Squirrel Hunting

We took Brendan up north to Westbranch over the past weekend (10/22-10/23). I swear that Jen is squirrel repellent! I went squirrel hunting 3 weeks ago, and saw so many, I barely knew which ones to shoot at. So, I took her and Brendan to the exact same spot, and we did not see any. I think it is because they both fell asleep : ) No lie, they did! Here is Bunky alone.

Here is one of us all together.....

Pregnancy Update

Today I had my 18 week check up and everything is looking great. My blood pressure is at the low end of normal but still in the normal range (finally), my blood sugar is up, and I am gaining weight finally. But my belly is all baby, heart rate is perfect, and the size of my bump is right on track. Next week ultra sound time, so I will have a picture of the baby then.

But for now everything is just fine.

First Field Trip

Brendan went on his first field trip yestorday with his pre-school class. We went to a Nature Center where we went on a nature walk, the kids got to touch a turte and snake, and we even had dounuts and cider. (we did wash our hands before)

Brendan watching the turtles swim in the large indoor ponds.

Brendan got his turn at making the juming seeds jump. You touch them from the bottom and they jump off the stem. The adults liked them as much as the kids.

Fire Safety Open House

On Saturday October 8th was Berkley's Fire Prevention Open House. Brendan was lucky enough to get to ride in the fire truck. That is only because we know people : )

He also got a chance to play fireman with officer Frost. Mr. Frost just got back from helping out in Louisiana after hurricane Katrina. Jen says he is one of the "troublemakers."
